Self-Represented Litigant Resources

Lawyer in the Library

Self-Represented Litigants may meet with a local attorney one-on-one for no fee at three different libraries in the Second Circuit.  Self-Represented Litigants must live within the 12 counties of the Second Judicial Circuit (Crawford, Edwards, Franklin, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Jefferson, Lawrence, Richland, Wabash, Wayne, White) and must not be represented by an attorney in the matter now.  The local attorney will provide free legal coaching, document review, e-filing, and referrals regarding civil issues.  Each Self- Represented Litigant will be required to sign a limited representation form, and is provided a copy of the form.  Pre-registration is required at some locations.
