Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Richland County
Purpose of BBBS of Richland County is to mentor at-risk children by matching them with caring adults. Must be a resident of Richland County and be between the ages of six to fifteen. One should be considered at-risk in one of the following ways: family/peer relationships; school (academically & socially); from a single parent family. The focus is on children who need a friend, role model and/or stability of some kind. Parents must inquire by phone/mail. The parent & child must attend an orientation for community-based matches. Teachers must have parental approval before referring students for school-based matches.
