The Second Judicial Circuit of Illinois is proud to recognize Second Circuit Judge Lindsey Waldrop for her recent honorary participation in the Illinois Sheriff’s Association swearing-in ceremony for its’ newest board members. The event took place Monday, February 9, 2026 at the President Abraham Lincoln Springfield Doubletree Hotel. Judge Waldrop swore in President Sheriff J. Derek Morgan of Wabash County, 1st Vice President Sheriff Mike Downey of Kankakee County, 2nd Vice President Sheriff Dustin Heuerman of Champaign County, Secretary-Treasurer Sheriff Brian VanVickle of Ogle County, and new board member Sheriff Mike Walker of DeWitt County.
Judge Waldrop commented on her role in the ceremony stating, “It is truly an honor and privilege to represent the judges of the Second Judicial Circuit in the swearing-in ceremony of the newest Executive Board members of the Illinois Sheriff's Association. I am grateful to stand in support of those who faithfully dedicate their lives to upholding justice and protecting the public."
