Second Judicial Circuit Chief Judge Melissa Morgan is proud to announce Robinson native, Kaitlyn Powell has joined the Second Circuit as a Court Reporter Specialist.
A graduate of Robinson High School, Powell has studied at the Court Reporting and Captioning Program at Lake Land Community College. She recently attended the Illinois Court Reporting Services sponsored Court Specialist Education/Training Seminar Session in Springfield which focused on administrative regulations, electronic recording equipment, the new form book, and transcript preparation.
Powell will be completing the Illinois Courts’ Court Specialist certification program this summer, and is preparing for the additional certification examination to become an Official Certified Shorthand Reporter. Chief Judge Morgan added, “My colleagues and I are proud to welcome Ms. Powell as a Court Reporter Specialist. We are fortunate to have someone with her skills and work ethic, and we are invested in her success as she continues to complete her additional training.
