Hardin County Resident Circuit Judge Tara Cook recently visited with local elementary students at the Metropolis Elementary School encouraging them to pursue their educations and possible careers in the legal field. She spoke with our “future lawyers and judges” highlighting her unique experiences as a local lawyer, former States’ Attorney, and now Resident Circuit Judge, and Judge Cook specifically sought to encourage the young girls she met to pursue their goals.

Judge Cook commented on her visit stating, "I had the privilege of discussing a future career as a lawyer or Judge with young ladies in 4th-6th grade at Metropolis Elementary School. The students posed thoughtful questions and demonstrated exceptional respect and attentiveness. Afterwards, several students were given the opportunity to bang the gavel and try on my judicial robe to experience their potential future career. Thank you to Principal JR Conkle, a fellow Hardin County Cougar alum, for having me.”
